Born in 1966 , Jeffery Jon is Cedar Rapids native. A man of few words, Jeffery Jon has chosen to observe and absorb life and this is clearly reflected in the intensity of his work.
Jeff has been creating art commercially for nearly a quarter century. To the best of my knowledge Jeff is the only artist in the world creating with the medium plastisol on canvas. Jeffery Jon started experimenting with this medium over 22 years ago. “The elasticity and vibrant color of plastisol, has allowed me to stretch what is normally one dimensional into a textural exploration of my art.” As one watches this artist create, it is produced in a beautiful and almost violent manor.
