Evan Vulich is an artist from Clinton, Iowa who who owns and operates E & L Graphics here in Cedar Rapids. As a free-lance artist, Evan has worked designing logos, banners, vinyl and hand lettering on billboards and walls, location signs, large posters, web sites, CD art for area bands, cartoons, ads for magazines and newspapers, newsletters, business cards, direct mailers, logos and many custom designs.
Also sub-contracting with several area sign shops helps their customers get that extra “look”. “Early on I always wanted to be a syndicated cartoonist but found that paying the bills through commercial art would be better than hoping for a break on the national scene.”
Much experience in the outdoor advertising came by hand painting
14’ x 48’ billboards in Cedar Rapids for Ragan Outdoor before it was sold to Lamar. This was a great job to get the feel for huge graphics.
