Gareth, a Welsh sculptor studied sculpture at Bretton Hall College (University of Leeds), graduating in 2002, and later earned a Master’s in Design from Leeds Metropolitan University in 2004.
In 2015, Gareth was elected as a member of the Royal Society of Sculptors and has since exhibited internationally, including galleries in London, Liverpool’s Tate Gallery, Beirut, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, and across Europe and America. His work is held in private collections throughout Europe, America, and Australia.
From 2015 to 2017, Gareth collaborated with Michelin-starred chef Michael O’Hare, with his sculptures featured in O’Hare’s Leeds restaurant, The Man Behind The Curtain.
Gareth’s sculptures are heavily influenced by “Googie” architecture, a West Coast American design style originating in post-World War II commercial buildings. Popularized during the 1950s and 1960s, Googie architecture is known for its futuristic, eye-catching designs, characterized by flowing lines, abstract shapes, upswept roofs, and bold use of color.
