Hannah Petrioli is a London-born artist who explores organic landscapes in her mixed media artworks. Her educational journey includes a BA in Sculpture from UAL Wimbledon College of Art (2012) and an MA in Painting from the Royal College of Art, London (2023).

Hannah's art is an attempt to capture the emotional essence of landscapes rather than literal representations. She uses the canvas as a dynamic space, layering it with the sensations drawn from ever-changing landscapes, infused with colour, texture, and temperature nuances.

Her work embodies the concept of rewilding, treating the canvas as its own ecosystem and approaching materials like an alchemist, experimenting with their interactions and transformations. A central theme in her work is the exploration of humanity's detrimental impact on the environment, where she intervenes in her landscapes to symbolize erosion and fragility, blurring the lines between the human body and the natural world.

Resilience is another recurring theme as Hannah’s paintings evolve organically, defying traditional aesthetic norms. She employs plaster bandages to restore balance, creating an optimal state where every mark harmonizes. Through intervention and rewilding, Hannah explores themes of new life, fragility, and natural rhythms. Her art challenges conventional perceptions, inviting viewers to ponder the profound connections between the natural world and the canvas. In every stroke, she offers a unique perspective on the intertwined relationship between art and the environment.
