Kay Gasei

Kay Gasei has been drawing since he was three years old, and after studying illustration at university went on to run a streetwear brand, and work as a freelance illustrator.
The move to painting came in 2021, and when exhibiting for the first time at The Other Art Fair he was awarded the Kate Bryan Soho House Award. In the two years since he has exhibited in over 20 exhibitions, including solo shows.
Kay’s work is inspired by mythology (from Greek mythology to African folk tales) which is woven in with cultural studies, history, psychology, and philosophy.
