Marcia Mihotich was born in New Zealand but has spent much of her adult life living and working in London as a graphic Designer and illustrator.
Sparked by a visit to New Zealand in 2022, she began to spend time observing and drawing the things that seemed to her typical of the place she grew up in the suburbs, the plants, and the buildings, her work has now expanded to include paintings and drawings of the UK and USA.
In her paintings, Marcia focuses on unusual compositions to create seemingly simple scenes where all the shapes and colours are in harmony. The absence of people but the inclusion of the built landscape creates a quiet and slightly unsettling feeling.
