Emma June Jones (b. 2000 in Chicago, IL) is an artist from Chicago, IL currently residing and working in New York, NY. She graduated in 2023 with a BFA in Illustration and a minor in Art History from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Jones’s focus is on distorted figure paintings made in oil; they examine internal battles young women face in today’s social and political climate. Her paintings mold bodies in a collapsed space while emphasizing the external environment, fashion, and symbolism to reflect contemporary issues/ ideas. Her work has been seen in her solo show “Amend” in February-May 2023 at Sobremesa in Savannah, Ga, and group show “Emerging as we Disappear” in New York, NY curated by Karen Weber in November 2023.
